institutional license terms
This licence governs the use of SwiftFrench Grammar Engines by multi-site organisations, large departments, and institutional networks.
Licensor
SwiftFrench (www.swiftfrench.com)
Licensee
A school group, trust, district, ministry, franchise network, cultural institute, or other multi-site organisation purchasing the product for staff-wide deployment.
1. Materials covered by this licence
Each SwiftFrench Grammar Engine download will include:
• Live Excel engine file (editable, colour)
• One-page PDF (black & white)
• One-page PDF (colour)
• A3 poster PDF
• PNG image version of the engine
• Teacher instructions / guidance document
• Licensing terms
• README file
2. Scope of licence
This licence grants a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual right to deploy the materials
across the Licensee’s organisation/network, subject to the conditions agreed in writing on the
quotation/invoice.
3. Organisations requiring an Institutional/Network licence
This licence applies where any of the following are true:
• Multi-Site Organisations: any organisation with more than one physical campus or location (e.g.,
city-wide district, multi-campus trust, national ministry of education, franchise language school network)
• Large Departments: any single site with more than five (5) French language instructors/teachers
• Network Entities: large-scale cultural institutions (e.g., Alliance Française, Institut Français)
regardless of staff count, requiring network deployment rights
• Commercial Use: any entity intending to bundle SwiftFrench engines within a paid commercial
curriculum, course, textbook, or training product
4. Permitted use
The Licensee may:
• Deploy the materials across multiple sites/campuses as defined in the quotation/invoice
• Print and distribute copies internally to authorised staff for classroom use
• Upload/use the materials within secure, password-protected internal LMS systems, intranets, or staff portals, provided access is restricted to staff and students of the licensed organisation
• Adapt the Excel file internally for teaching purposes (e.g., formatting, annotations, minor curriculum
alignment), provided SwiftFrench branding and copyright remain intact
5. Prohibited use
The Licensee may not:
• Make the materials available publicly (including on public websites, public drives, or open-access repositories)
• Sell, sublicense, or redistribute the materials outside the licensed organisation/network
• Remove, obscure, crop, or alter SwiftFrench branding, copyright notices, or website references
• Provide the materials to third parties, contractors, or partner institutions not covered by the
quotation/invoice
6. Students
Students may access the materials only as part of instruction and may not retain copies beyond the duration of their course of study.
7. Duration
This licence is a one-off purchase and is valid in perpetuity (lifetime licence), provided the
organisation’s use remains within the agreed scope and does not breach this licence.
8. Ownership
All materials remain the intellectual property of SwiftFrench.
9. Quotation requirement
Institutional/Network licensing is priced by quotation due to variation in:
• number of sites/campuses
• number of instructors/staff
• deployment method (LMS, intranet, staff portal)
• scope of curriculum/commercial integration
